Let’s Get Started!

Welcome to the brand new Play@Art! from Home blog!

The first thing I must say right away … is that I've missed you all VERY MUCH!! I know these last couple weeks have seemed strange, disorienting, and maybe even a little scary for us all. How ever you have been feeling, just know that it’s perfectly okay to feel that way. Your moms and dads, grandparents, teachers and friends are all here to support you …, and I’m here too! I’m hoping that we can continue having fun together making art, even though we’re not in the same room together. I’ve been assembling some fun projects for us to work on, and I can't wait to get started! But wait — first, we need to make sure you have some supplies gathered. Time for a SCAVENGER HUNT! (If any of you are missing some of these, don't worry! Just find as many as you can. Your adults can reach out to me for anything needed along the way.) Here’s your list (happy hunting!):

regular graphite pencils, colored pencils, a pencil sharpener, crayons, markers, watercolor paint, tempera paint, food coloring, paint brushes, drawing or construction paper, scrap card board, tape, glue or glue stick, bubbles and wand, scissors, toilet paper or paper towel tubes, aluminum foil, string, pipe cleaners, popsicle sticks, straws, glitter, buttons, bubblewrap and anything else you can find with a fun texture.
